The Guinness Book of World Records
Seymour is wild for adventure. He’s a shaggy-haired 11-year-old with a knack for solving problems. He’s our hero with a brain, a global friend to kids in need, and always up for a challenge. A humanitarian at heart, he prefers using wit over violence, but he’s not afraid to take on trouble. His commonsense and inventiveness come in handy as he often finds himself in unpredictable situations.
"Hi! I'm Seymour and “Adventure” is my middle name! Actually, its Joseph, but I wish my parents would have made it something cool...like Epicdragoncrowbones. I thought I just liked soccer and hanging out with my friends, until I met Hau. Since he's become my best pal, I found out about a lot more things that are SO COOL that I never even knew about. Like, for example, Paris has these awesome gardens for the best hide and seek EVER, called the Tuileries, and in certain parts of Ireland, they actually speak Irish, which sounds nothing like English, and Moroccans make the best mint tea in the world. I’ve met a lot of kids from a lot of different countries, and they are all totally AWESOME! I’m glad you’re here to travel with Hau and me on our adventures around the world.”
Everything but peanut butter (he's allergic)
The joy of eating
Hau, a sweet, slimy and slightly smelly creature from another world, is a lovable klutz with large feet and a cosmic curiosity. This round squashy little guy is always hungry and his quest to fill his belly can lead to trouble. Though he speaks and acts with child-like innocence, his wisdom comes through when he saves the day.
“Heyyyyyy! My name is Hau and English is not my first languish. Or my second, or my turd. Seymour thinks I’m funny, and he’s right. I’m super funny. I’m so funny I forgot to laugh! Haha! I heard that on TV and I have NO IDEA what it means.
I love food so much and I expecially, wait, wait ESPECIALLY (Seymour hates when I get that one wrong) love Indian, Chinese, Moroccan, French, Italian, Cuban, Portuguese, Nigerian, Turkish, English, Russian, Mongolian, ummmm, and a whole bunch more but Seymour said I had to wrap it up here. I also like wraps, in case you wanted to get me a surprise someday.
I have a cool pouch, like a kangaroo, except it’s magic and can fit a whole raft, plus tons of other things. I love leaping around the world to help kids cause we need to make friends and help each other. That’s my thing. Aside from eating.
I can’t understand why but Seymour can’t understand animals when they talk. He says they just sound like Mooooo, Mehhhhh, Meeoowww, Rufff. But, I can understand them perfecto! It comes in handy, A LOT!
We gotta go, the TELLUS is buzzing…see you there! Adios, Ciao, Totsiens, Cheerio, Au Revoir, Shalom, Aloha, Sjáumst síðar, Arrivederci, and Bon Voyage. And also, Check ya later, Dudes!”
